Oh how excited I was for the release of this book! How I've missed the little blonde sassy mind reader and her eclectic friends and Eric!
A lot of familiar characters show up in this book. Eric, Bill, Pam, Jason, Sam, Alicide, Claude, many others and some new comers! Most important of all.. Eric's dad.. or his maker.
This wasn't my favorite Sookie book but I was happy enough with the storyline. Considering how the last book left off I feel it was a bit lighter than I was expecting.
As usual Sookie finds herself in the middle of, well, everything! Werewolf politics, Vampire business and Fae Issues.
I'm assuming everyone who has read the previous Sookie books have already gotten this book if not planning to in the near future. So.. I've said what I'll say on it.. and just like any other Sookie fan.. will be waiting anxiously for my next Sookie dose!

The Sookie Stackhouse AKA Southern Vampire AKA True Blood Series by Charlaine Harris
After all the talk of the True Blood Series on HBO (I don't have HBO) I decided to pick up the books to see in part what the fuss was all about.
I have to say.. this series was like book crack! I was addicted, couldn't put them down and couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book. I still can't wait to get my hands on the next book (Dead in the Family May 2010).
I do have to say HBO's version of True Blood (I've only seen Season 1 to date) was quite different than the books. I believe the books to be far better than what I watched and it really did make me sad to see such a huge difference. I'm sure my boyfriend ended up pretty annoyed by my constant complaints of "That DIDN'T happen in the books!!".
If you haven't read this series.. you should!
