This book was disappointing to me. Thomas is one of my favorite characters from way back in the begining with A quick bite and I was really looking forward to his story. Unfortunatly his story was mixed in with the search for Marquerite and I feel it really over shadowed Thomas as a character. For instance.. I still don't even know what Thomas does beyond that he writes music. So many details left out.
Marquerite went on to search for Chris Notte's mother back in A Bite to Remember and in this book she has come up missing. Thomas is sent to find her and is hooked up with Inez an employee of Argeneau Enterprises to help him find his way around the city.
The book trails them searching for Maruerite and in the mean time falling in love and Inez finding out the truth about Thomas and her employers.
It was so lack luster to me. That could be because I was so looking forward to Thomas' story.
I won't say it was a bad book, but certainly could have been so much more than it was.
