Guilty Pleasures

Since this is my first time blogging here I thought I’d talk about guilty pleasures so you get to know a little bit about me. Life is full of so many little pleasures and these are my ultimate guilty ones:
1. The Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks ® is amazing and if it wasn’t just a seasonal drink, I’d probably be at Starbucks every day (which would be awesome for my waistline). A delicious espresso mixed with that awesome cinnamon dolce syrup that’s topped off with thick whipped cream! It probably has a billion calories but I so don’t care! I tried it with skim milk once but it sucked. Some things aren’t meant to have skim milk. Plus, it wouldn’t really be a guilty pleasure that way.
2. Pedicures are my crack! I don’t even bother with manicures because come on, I’m a writer. I’m on the keyboard for so many hours during the day that it would be wasted. But pedicures give me a certain kind of therapy. I live in the South so in those sweltering summer months I live in sandals and flip-flops and I can’t be walking around with ugly toes. Plus every time I get a pedicure they massage my calves and omg, it is heaven! Right about now, I’m way past due for one. It’s so bad even the hubby said something and he’s not known for noticing stuff like that.
3. My kindle. I don’t really feel guilty about this one…too much. Ever since receiving a kindle as a Christmas present last year (ahem, which I opened a few weeks early) I’ve been addicted to it. I buy way more books now than I used to because of instant gratification. I love not having to worry about shipping or constantly checking my mailbox for a delivery. Since I live in a small beach town with a craptastic bookstore (their romance selection makes me very sad) I have to drive to the next town over for a ‘real’ bookstore but now I don’t have to bother leaving my home to shop.
I have more guilty pleasures (I am a female!) but those are probably my top three. I don’t think they’re that crazy either, just nice ways to indulge. What about you?
