Hello, readers! My name is Elizabeth Sharp and I am the author of the Forces of Nature Series.
Book One, Natural Selection is available and Book Two, Second Nature, will be out early this
winter. Let me begin by introducing you to the series.
What do you do when you find out your family isn’t your family, death is
knocking at your door, and that guy you can’t stop thinking about knows more about who you are than you do? Amelia Hoffman was just a normal 15 year old until she found out the truth. Now ancient myths, supernatural beings, and murder have changed everything. Tests and school dances are no longer the biggest worry in her life– she has to figure out how to save everyone she loves and accept the future in front of her before it’s too late.
Forces of Nature was created from a perfect storm of ideas. Part imagination, part real life, and part a story I wrote in high school. I loved the characters and the family dynamic from my adolescent creation, so I saved them, even though the story wasn’t redeemable. The idea of a teenage girl who thinks she’s painfully average, but discovers she isn’t even human was tumbling around in my mind and it seemed to fit perfectly with the awkward yet lovable main character who was quickly changing to resemble a close of friend of mine and her family. Finally, I came up with a scene for the end of the book. Putting it all together I ended with a wonderful world I hope everyone loves as much as I do. The character interactions make me smile, especially the ones between Amelia and her brother, Xander. Family is a major theme in this story. We are all a product of the environments we grow up in. Amelia is only able to do the things she does because she knows her family is there, loving and supporting her.

About the author:
Let me tell you a little bit about me. A self-proclaimed techno-geek, I love anything electronic. I live in a quiet subdivision in Central Illinois with my husband, three cats and far too much technology. A natural storyteller, I began writing at a very young age. Though my plots left something to be desired, my characters were so well done that had all the adults fussing. It wasn’t long before I was churning out works that have sat in a drawer for years. With the rise of independent publishing, I decided it was time to do something with my work.
I’m also an artist. I designed the cover of Natural Selection myself as well as many others since, though none have published yet. I am fortunate to be part of a small collaborative publishing company with five authors, known as 4 Corners Press. If I was ever asked to choose between writing and art, I’m not sure which I would give up.
Mad props need to go to my editors, Liz Schulte and Khloe Kamalis, for making my work shine. MD Christie put together the amazing trailer, making my vision come to life exactly how I saw it in my head. Julie Titus formatted her fingers off and made my book beautiful. Thank you lades.
Author, artist, and world renowned chatterbox. I'm everywhere! And now I'm Google-able!

Great interview! Your book is next on my list to read.
What are you working on now?
When is your next book coming out?
I'm working on the second book in the series now, Second NAture, which will be out in early December. I'm also working on a couple shorts for anthologies, though I'm not sure when they will be out.
The next thing I will have published is my short "The Sandman" in the Dream On Anthology or Second Nature. Not sure which will be first but both will be out by Christmas.
