It's already November! Gahhhhhhhh! Thanksgiving and Christmas are RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER.
Does this freak you out as much as me? This time of the year always is super stressful to me. I envy the people who enjoy the season because for me it means an endless to do list. So many things to prepare, to buy, to do, to wrap and that's on top of all the every day stuff.
Don't get me wrong.. I do enjoy the season.. right before it's over. You know, when the presents have been wrapped and all thats left is for you to wait until the day where everyone comes over. That brief in between moment of 'done' and 'to do again'.
What's your favorite part of this time of year? Mine happens to be the weather change. I love the cold and the dark and the rain. It makes me feel like cuddling up on the couch with my favorite fluffy blanket and book is not a 'lazy' thing to do.. it's the thing to do. You know what I mean?

Hi! Hope you all had a great Halloween! And now on to Christmas. Wait…didn’t we skip a holiday? Like Thanksgiving? I can’t believe all the Christmas commercials already. So not ready for it. LOL
I am attempting NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. This is a writing challenge to write 50,000 words by the end of November. I am way behind on the word count...but hopefully made up for it this past weekend. I did the challenge to kick my behind in gear. I always talk about writing, but don’t actually write. Well...writers write. As simple as that sounds, this is a challenge. I keep editing my writing instead of just writing. And I keep telling myself how it sucks. And that is getting in the way of my writing. So, I have been setting some mini challenges to just write and not think and edit too much. I’ll keep everyone posted. I am totally winging it. I don’t even have an outline. This is the kick start I needed though. I am having a blast creating though!
I hope you all enjoyed your extra hour of sleep this weekend. For those who change the clocks that is. I thought we weren’t going to do that anymore. But, I guess we still are. LOL
I attached some Halloween pictures. My cookie decorating skills need some work...LOL...but not too bad. The candies are fun to make...time consuming a bit...but fun!
And for the first year in a long time, I free hand carved my pumpkin. I loved it. I usually use those pattern kits. This was simpler and more fun. Oh and I also got the movie The Crow. One of my favorites! J
