Welcome to the another edition of This & That. What's that you say? Well it's a little of this and a little of that. Who's Us? That's exactly the point of This & That. Do you know anything about the Reviewer here? Or who is that person(s) you're talking to on Facebook and Twitter? You're about to!
Happy Weekend everyone!
Well, I guess whats left of it at least. Today I'm going to keep this really brief and introduce something that I've been thinking about doing.. and have finally done. We have graduated into Youtube!
Yes, a hair brained idea that has finally come to life, with the help of a couple of people. So from now on there will be a Youtube video posted along side with every Blog post. Not only are we trying to increase our following.. I'm also trying to save time! You have no idea how much easier it is to SPEAK than it is to organize a blog post. OK, OK some of you do. ;o)
Enough typing here is my first attempt at a Video. Pleaaaase be nice! LOL
Until next week Ladies and Gents: Be Safe - No Paper Cuts!
So...how has everyone’s week been? Mine has been the same...some job hunting...writing...and reading...not as much as I should of...of course.
A couple of Sundays ago, I was waiting for the NASCAR race to start. But, it was rained out. Then I tried to watch football. Football is not one of my favorite sports, but I like it OK enough. I watched a horrible Chicago Bears game. I think Bears quarterback was sacked like 6 times...Really? LOL.
So, I flipped to HBO. My 6 month free is almost ending. LOL...Anyway I watched the movie Hereafter.
I don’t have many talents or skills...but I do have a really good gut feeling. About people, situations, etc. Unfortunately, I do not always go with that…
Luckily, this was a minor situation, so it wasn’t too life altering. When I saw the previews for this movie, I knew in my gut it would be depressing and sad. Which, I try to avoid...unless it’s like a Disney...at least those have feel good moments.
The movie was well made. The story was well developed. It was just so sad and depressing. I mean I like variety of movies, but this was just so sad. I mean there was a sort of bright point towards the end. But, wow I just felt worse by the end.
I suppose you have to be in the mood for these types of movies. I guess me being down right now didn’t help the viewing enjoyment.
It is well made, so I am not saying don’t watch it. But, if you do decide to watch it, just prepare yourself accordingly.
I did watch 2 movies that I have been avoiding because I thought that they may be too sad or depressing, but they totally weren’t. Worth checking out!
The Blind Side. I loved it. What a great story! It tugged at my heart...but it was such a feel good movie!
127 Hours. I loved this one too. Totally not what I expected. Even had some comedic moments. I usually am not about these survival movies...but this one is worth watching. Well made and another feel good movie!
So, what are some of your favorite feel good movies? How about movies you watch when you are feeling down? Please share!
May the force be with all of you…
Stay Tuned each Sunday for a dose of This & That!
