Lets Talk About It:

This book was beautiful. It was written as part memoir and part present, giving a unique twist to the storytelling through out the book.

The characters ring to true to the time frame they were placed in. The love that burned between characters in the book were very deep and emotional. So much so that it left me longing, hoping and wishing for the loves to be united.

I adored Mamie's character the most. Such a life she lead, giving up her true love to care for a careless persons baby. Mamie seemed to be so caught up in being proper and continuing her white lies that it caused issues for her Granddaughter. In the end, I was delighted to see things come full circle.

If you enjoy a good book with deeply written characters and story line, you will enjoy this book.
